U.S. DEMOCRACY IS A JOKE
AND IT'S NOT FUNNY

(DemocracyNow.org)

"The race for the 6th District in Georgia is the most expensive congressional race in U.S. history. On Tuesday, voters will head to the polls to fill the seat left vacant after Tom Price resigned to become secretary of health and human services. Polls show Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican Karen Handel in a virtual tie. But civil rights leaders fear that racist voter suppression tactics could cost Ossoff the election. For more, we speak with investigative reporter Greg Palast and air a report he produced in Georgia."

IMPOSING SANCTIONS HURTS U.S. AS WELL
AND ONLY SERVES THE DEEP STATE

Bear baiting Russia and the U.S. led destabilizing efforts in the Middle East and Africa undermine global peace and security. Despite public opinion the U.S. is part of an Earth-wide community, it doesn't exist independently. Our interventions have consequences, profit for a few such as oil companies and weapons merchants, but the vast majority suffer directly or from the blow back.

The U.S. Congress serves only business interests, not the interests of the constituents they swear to represent. All the hype and horse shit about threats to national security are about using fear to mask the vacuuming up of every last dime of public money, which is handed over to the oligarchs. Pumping money into the Military & Intelligence Industrial Complex has made us less safe. The world including the U.S. has fallen victim to a ravenous imperial resource grab never equalled in human history, and the evidence is clear, except to the censored for profit main stream media.

Investigative journalist Max Blumenthal explains that these sanctions punish Russia and Iran unnecessarily and intensifies the conflict between the US and these countries.

PBS AIRS
EDUCATION PROPAGANDA PIECE

Funded by conservative foundations devoted to privatization, this program is the definition of paid propaganda.

I prefer RT over the U.S. version of "state-run" broadcasting most every time. The U.S. has no genuine public media, only corporate sponsored crap, and a very few obscure independent news sources. Sad.

or
watch something on RT to see the difference.

A TALK WITH WALLY SHAWN

Talkingbag encourages all good folk to consider becoming better citizens. An epiphany experienced by Wally Shawn, who above is pictured as the Grand Negas.

A Chris Hedges interview
(RT.com)

"On this week's episode of On Contact, Chris Hedges is joined by actor, playwright and essayist Wallace Shawn.
You way recognize Shawn from films such as Princess Bride, but he is also a thoughtful playwright and is out with a new book, "Night Thoughts". RT Correspondent Anya Parampil looks at how the American empire's control of global resources has enriched us."

Another story of ephiphany, Nate Hagens.

Nate suffered an awakening, then turned his back on the finance industry. Ignorance is bliss because knowledge can give you nightmares. Once you wake up you have to decide how to live the rest of your life. He decided to try educating the masses.

CLASS OF 2017

I enjoyed both of these speeches.
One of these speeches is serious, the other not so much, but they both have messages everyone should take to heart.

Enjoy!

SPEAKING GOSPEL TO POWER

I have paved the way for your salvation. R'Amen.
- Sean Michael Corbett

He's a Pastafarian in the Church of the Flying
Spaghetti Monster
(Huffington Post.com)

"Corbett told the Republic that his quest was all in the name of religious freedom. As a Pastafarian in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Corbett said he wanted to ease the way for people of other religions to don the headwear of their choice, such as a hijab or a turban, without opposition."

Sean has set a wonderful example. I wish there were a lot more Sean's in the world, it would be a better place.
