The Media bLandscape is underwater!

I stopped watching major network news in the 80s and believe me, I'm thankful for that. The glimpses I've seen of famous talking heads spewing vacuous nonsense over the decades, mostly in mocking breakdowns by credible independent correspondents, comedic social critics, or historically educated commentators (or all three in one), has convinced me that a majority of Americans live in a fantasy world created by an incessant and highly successful psy op, often referred to as the Main Stream Media.

I'm not surprised at the dismal level of geopolitical understanding among my acquaintances who still gobble up that propaganda. But current ratings numbers seem to indicate a marked decrease in mainstream viewing, which helps explain recent trends toward dystopian crackdowns on free speech. As more people wake up, the efforts to put everyone back to sleep have become desperate.

As the Information Age becomes the Too Much Information Age, it is interesting to watch a vast population just beginning to wonder about the myths they've been programmed to believe. Sadly, convincing folks that their heart-felt beliefs are for the most part bogus is almost impossible. The Duopoly is a cult designed to keep you both clueless and powerless.

The first step toward a better world must include a willingness to consider fresh ideas based on their empirical merits rather than your entrenched beliefs.

I've been voting for 3rd party losers for decades because the winners make losers of us all.

This link's a decent place to start
