"Whole Foods bills itself as “America’s healthiest grocery store,” but what it’s doing to the environment is anything but healthy. According to a new report, the chain is helping to drive one of the nation’s worst human-made environmental disasters: the dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico."

"We’ve heard about climate change, oil spills, and fracking, but there’s very little coverage about animal agriculture. While people and animals struggle to satisfy basic needs like water, animal agriculture requires so many resources and creates so much waste it’s a wonder that we hear so little about the impact of this industry.
